ASHRAE San Diego Foundation

The ASHRAE San Diego Foundation (ASDF) is designed to meet the long range charitable goals of the ASHRAE San Diego Chapter. We do this by managing long term investments and make recommendations of annual charitable levels distributed by the chapter in forms of educational scholarships and other donations. All members of the San Diego Chapter are members of the ASDF.

Currently the chapter presents over $5,000 in scholarships and awards to the local community.

College Scholarships

Each year, the San Diego chapter offers two college level scholarships totaling $3,000.00. Applications are due each spring with awards presented at the regular June chapter meeting. Click HERE to get your application today.

For San Diego State University Engineering Students

The San Diego Chapter offers an annual $500 scholarship available to mechanical engineering students. The scholarship is possible through an endowment at SDSU. Click HERE to visit the SDSU scholarship page for more information.

ASHRAE San Diego Supports The Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair

Each year, the San Diego Chapter participates in the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair. Chapter judges select a middle and a high school student exhibitor who shows promise in the field of engineering and energy conservation. Each student is awarded a $200 savings bond to encourage their pursuit of engineering studies. Teachers of winning students are also awarded $400 to help them prepare for next years' fair.

In addition to chapter scholarships and awards offered the ASHRAE San Diego chapter supports the community at large. A variety of programs and resources are available through ASHRAE to promote the art of science of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
